Afon Soden, sy’n rhoi ei henw i’r gre, yn llifo drwy dir y fferm cyn
arllwys i Fae Ceredigion yng Nghwm Silio – traethell ddiarffordd
gerllaw cilfach ramantus Cwm Tudu. Dyma fro y smyglwr enwog Sion Cwilt. Mae’r
olygfa dros y weunydd gleision at Ben Foel Gilie a Bae Ceredigion yn
gefnlen ddelfrydol ar gyfer gwertfawrogi harddwch y cobyn Cymreig.

The
Soden Stud is located in the heart of Cob Country – Ceredigion. The
farm, Croesheddig Newydd, is situated 1.5 miles from the main
Aberystwyth to Cardigan coast road when heading from Synod Inn to the
picturesque harbour village of New Quay. The
Soden rivulet, from which the stud gets its name, meanders through the
stud estate and flows into Cardigan Bay at romantic Cwm Silio – a
secluded beach near the famous Cwm Tudu cove. This is smuggler country
and legends of local ‘Robin Hood’ hero Sion Cwilt abound! The
scenic view towards the distinctive hilltop of Pen Foel Gilie and
Cardigan Bay forms a fitting backdrop in which to appreciate the beauty
of the true Welsh Cob. |
